El Jardín

Since its inception, at the beginning of the last century, the house had one of the first gardens with romantic designs created at that time.

In this way, Domaine du Marquis houses inside a magnificent private garden, an authentic natural sanctuary designed for disconnection. This unique space recreates the richness of the thermophilic forest, the most representative and valuable ecosystem in this area of Gran Canaria, offering our guests an environment of absolute silence and beauty.

At the beginning of the last century, gardening was beginning to have a great development and tradition. In the surroundings of the House, the garden gained prominence with the presence of species typical of the thermophilic forest of Gran Canaria, the most representative ecosystem of the area, with specimens such as palm trees, dragons and lilies, which evoke the natural identity of the island landscape.

Later, the floral decoration was entrusted to the renowned landscape designer and architect Nicolau Maria Rubio i Tudurí, who left his green mark on the site. Considered one of the forerunners of modern gardening in Spain, Rubio i Tudurí designed an original and unique garden, combining artistic sensitivity and respect for the environment, as he had already demonstrated in other outstanding works at the national level.

After a careful reform, and thanks to the collaboration with the prestigious Viera y Clavijo Canarian Botanical Garden, our garden now has almost a hundred species in continuous expansion.

During their tour, visitors will be able to enjoy an immersive botanical experience:
