Winemaking tradition and volcanic character

Wine, Landscape and Memory

The enclave where Domaine du Marquis is located enjoys exceptional conditions for the cultivation of vines, a natural privilege that can be seen even in the landscape surrounding the estate. The microclimate of the area —softened by the breeze of the trade winds, the periodic rains, the proximity of the Atlantic and the altitude— joins the richness of volcanic soils to give rise to wines with a unique personality, full of nuances and character.

Vineyard land with identity

This deep winemaking tradition has made Santa Brígida an oenological reference on the island, being the first area of Gran Canaria to obtain a Denomination of Origin. Here, wine culture is part of the local identity and it is lived with pride, generation after generation.

For wine tourism lovers, the experience is essential. The Casa Museo del Vino, headquarters of the Regulatory Council, offers a close and educational tour of the island's viticultural history, culminating — of course — with the possibility of tasting its wines. In addition, the surroundings are home to different wineries with a great tradition, where it is possible to discover volcanic flavors, vineyard landscapes and the passion of those who keep this heritage alive.

A perfect invitation to toast without haste and savor the essence of Gran Canaria, glass in hand.
